My first acting role was trying to convince my Mom I was a cat at age 5. It worked for a minute and from there I was hooked. Since then, I have continued to hone my skills as a performer. I acted on stage through high school and college with a heavy focus in Musical Theatre.
After graduating from VA Tech with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, I landed a role in, Mickey, a John Grisham film starring Harry Connick, Jr. and Mike Starr. I moved to Los Angeles where I began performing stand up comedy as well as studying improv with the Groundlings. From there, I was selected to be the new Brand Spokesperson for the VA Lottery (“Game Guy”), where I performed for audiences ranging from packed houses at Fed Ex Field, to sold out college campuses, live TV appearances and run-and-gun commercials.
Today I am a founding member of Plan B Comedy where we regularly perform sketch, improv and provide workshops and classes for our local community. I am also the owner of JLK Productions, a production company that specializes in unique brand messaging and live arts videography. Basically, if I’d never have role played as a cat at the fresh age of 5, I’d have missed out on all this fun.
